14 And he said to him and to me, For 2,300 evenings and mornings;

then the sanctuary shall be cleansed and restored.

2300 Evenings and Mornings

YHWH revealed how long it would take for the sanctuary or the temple to be restored, prophetically revealing the events that will play off during that same time of fulfilment, saying: 10 And in my vision this horn grew great, even against the host of heaven, God's true people, the saints, and some of the host and of the stars or priests it cast down to the ground and trampled on them, 11 Yes, this horn magnified itself, even matching itself against the Prince of the host of heaven; and from Him the continual burnt offering was taken away and the place of God's sanctuary was cast down and profaned. 12 And the host, the chosen people, was given to the wicked horn, together with the continual burnt offering, because of the transgression of God's people - their abounding irreverence, ungodliness, and lack of piety. And righteousness and truth were cast down to the ground, and it, the wicked horn, accomplished this by divine permission and prospered. 13 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one that spoke, For how long is the vision concerning the continual offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of both the sanctuary and the host of the people to be trampled underfoot? [Luke 21:24.] 14 And he said to him and to me, For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed and restored. (Dan 8:10-14 Ampl) In referring to the restoration of the temple, YHWH again refers to the past in view of the future restoration of the temple.

The first temple was destroyed three years after Babylon took Jerusalem captive, 583BC, allowing a vassal king, whom they had set in place to rule for them to control Jerusalem. Three years later, just as the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied, the king’s armies returned and came with his whole kingdom into Jerusalem, as was prophesied: 16 But he who comes against him from Syria shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him; he shall stand in the glorious land of Israel, and in his hand shall be destruction and all the land shall be in his power. 17 He shall set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom, and with him upright conditions and terms of peace, and he shall perform them by making an agreement with the king of the South.(Dan 11:16-17 Ampl) As we have seen, this prophecy refers to many prophetic types and anti-types, which included, Nebuchadnezzar, Antiochus Epiphanes IV, Caesar Titus, Emperor Justinian I and even Napoleon Bonaparte, Hitler and the final prince of the covenant and the coming Anti-Christ.

Nebuchadnezzar’s army broke down the first temple, stopping the sacrifices from being made to YHWH. YHWH revealed to Daniel that it would take 2300 days until the temple was restored. Using the day-for-a-year principle, YHWH revealed to Daniel that it would take 2300 years before the temple would be cleansed and restored. 2300 Prophetic years are equal to 2267 years.

The French Revolution (1789–1799)

The French Revolution (1789–1799), was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France that had a lasting impact on French history and more broadly throughout the world. The absolute monarchy that had ruled France for centuries collapsed within three years. French society underwent an epic transformation, as feudal, aristocratic and religious privileges evaporated under a sustained assault from radical left-wing political groups, masses on the streets, and peasants in the countryside. [1]Old ideas about tradition and hierarchy–of monarchy, aristocracy, and religious authority–were abruptly overthrown by new Enlightenment principles of equality, citizenship and inalienable rights.

Amidst a fiscal crisis, the common people of France were increasingly angered by the incompetency of King Louis XVI and the continued indifference and decadence of the aristocracy. This resentment, coupled with burgeoning Enlightenment ideals, fueled radical sentiments, and the French Revolution began in 1789 with the convocation of the Estates-General in May. The first year of the Revolution saw members of the Third Estate proclaiming the Tennis Court Oath in June, the assault on the Bastille in July, the passage of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen in August, and an epic march on Versailles that forced the royal court back to Paris in October. The next few years were dominated by struggles between various liberal assemblies and a right wing of supporters of the monarchy intent on thwarting major reforms.

A republic was proclaimed in September 1792 and King Louis XVI was executed the next year. External threats shaped the course of the Revolution. The French Revolutionary Wars began in 1792 and ultimately featured spectacular French victories that facilitated the conquest of the Italian Peninsula, the Low Countries and most territories west of the Rhine – achievements that had eluded previous French governments for centuries.

Internally, popular sentiments radicalized the Revolution significantly, culminating in the rise of Maximilien Robespierre and the Jacobins and virtual dictatorship by the Committee of Public Safety during the Reign of Terror from 1793 until 1794 during which between 16,000 and 40,000 people were killed. [2] After the fall of the Jacobins and the execution of Robespierre, the Directory assumed control of the French state in 1795 and held power until 1799, when it was replaced by the Consulate under Napoleon Bonaparte.

The modern era has unfolded in the shadow of the French Revolution. The growth of republics and liberal democracies, the spread of secularism, the development of modern ideologies, and the invention of total war [3] all mark their birth during the Revolution. Subsequent events that can be traced to the Revolution include the Napoleonic Wars, two separate restorations of monarchy (Bourbon Restoration and July Monarchy), and two additional revolutions (1830 and 1848) as modern France took shape.

Revolution and the Church

The Revolution caused a massive shift of power from the Roman Catholic Church to the state. Under the Ancien Régime, the Church had been the largest single landowner in the country, owning about 10% of the land in the kingdom. [34] The Church was exempt from paying taxes to the government, while it levied a tithe—a 10% tax on income, often collected in the form of crops—on the general population, only a fraction of which it then redistributed to the poor. [34] The power and wealth of the Church was highly resented by some groups. A small minority of Protestants living in France, such as the Huguenots, wanted an anti-Catholic regime and revenge against the clergy who discriminated against them. Enlightenment thinkers such as Voltaire helped fuel this resentment by denigrating the Catholic Church and destabilizing the French monarchy. [35] As historian John McManners argues, "In eighteenth-century France throne and altar were commonly spoken of as in close alliance; their simultaneous collapse ... would one day provide the final proof of their interdependence." [36]

This resentment toward the Church weakened its power during the opening of the Estates General in May 1789. The Church composed the First Estate with 130,000 members of the clergy. When the National Assembly was later created in June 1789 by the Third Estate, the clergy voted to join them, which perpetuated the destruction of the Estates General as a governing body. [37] The National Assembly began to enact social and economic reform. Legislation sanctioned on 4 August 1789 abolished the Church's authority to impose the tithe. In an attempt to address the financial crisis, the Assembly declared, on 2 November 1789, that the property of the Church was "at the disposal of the nation." [38] They used this property to back a new currency, the assignats. Thus, the nation had now also taken on the responsibility of the Church, which included paying the clergy and caring for the poor, the sick and the orphaned. [39] In December, the Assembly began to sell the lands to the highest bidder to raise revenue, effectively decreasing the value of the assignats by 25% in two years. [40] In autumn 1789, legislation abolished monastic vows and on 13 February 1790 all religious orders were dissolved. [41]Monks and nuns were encouraged to return to private life and a small percentage did eventually marry. [42]

The Civil Constitution of the Clergy, passed on 12 July 1790, turned the remaining clergy into employees of the state. This established an election system for parish priests and bishops and set a pay rate for the clergy. Many Catholics objected to the election system because it effectively denied the authority of the Pope in Rome over the French Church. Eventually, in November 1790, the National Assembly began to require an oath of loyalty to the Civil Constitution from all the members of the clergy. [42] This led to a schism between those clergy who swore the required oath and accepted the new arrangement and those who remained loyal to the Pope. Overall, 24% of the clergy nationwide took the oath. [43] Widespread refusal led to legislation against the clergy, "forcing them into exile, deporting them forcibly, or executing them as traitors." [40]Pope Pius VI never accepted the Civil Constitution of the Clergy, further isolating the Church in France. During the Reign of Terror , extreme efforts of de-Christianization ensued, including the imprisonment and massacre of priests and destruction of churches and religious images throughout France. An effort was made to replace the Catholic Church altogether, with civic festivals replacing religious ones. The establishment of the Cult of Reason was the final step of radical de-Christianization. These events led to a widespread disillusionment with the Revolution and to counter-rebellions across France. Locals often resisted de-Christianization by attacking revolutionary agents and hiding members of the clergy who were being hunted. Eventually, Robespierre and the Committee of Public Safety were forced to denounce the campaign, [44]replacing the Cult of Reason with the deist but still non-Christian Cult of the Supreme Being. The Concordat of 1801 between Napoleon and the Church ended the de-Christianization period and established the rules for a relationship between the Catholic Church and the French State that lasted until it was abrogated by the Third Republic via the separation of church and state on 11 December 1905.

Yahshua revealed to the apostle John that the ‘state’ would hate the church, both Christians and Roman Catholics and would attempt to eradicate all religion from the earth. They tried this through de-Christianization movements like the Cult of Reason and the Cult of the Supreme Being. These ideologies were the beginning of human rights movements, which still have the same purpose, the de-Christianization of the people. Satan hates Yahshua and wants to destroy the people who remain faithful to Yahshua.

A prophetic type of that which John prophesied, about a prostitute who rides on beast, and how they will be hated by the state, can clearly be seen in the history of the French Revolution, as was prophesied: 11 And as for the beast that once was, but now is no more, he himself is an eighth ruler, king or head, but he is of the seven and belongs to them, and he goes to perdition. 12 Also the ten horns that you observed are ten rulers or kings who have as yet received no royal dominion , but together they are to receive power and authority as rulers for a single hour, along with the beast. [Dan. 7:20-24.] 13 These have one common policy (opinion, purpose) , and they deliver their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will wage war against the Lamb , and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings - and those with Him and on His side are chosen and called or elected and loyal and faithful followers . [Dan. 2:47.]

15 And the angel further said to me, The waters that you observed, where the harlot is seated , are races and multitudes and nations and dialects (languages) . 16 And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will be the very ones to hate the harlot (the idolatrous woman) ; they will make her cheerless (bereaved, desolate), and they will strip her and eat up her flesh and utterly consume her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His own purpose by acting in harmony in surrendering their royal power and authority to the beast, until the prophetic words or intentions and promises of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman that you saw is herself the great city , which dominates and controls the rulers and the leaders of the earth. (Rev 17:11-18 Ampl) The French Revolution is only a prophetic shadow picture of how Satan will in the last day try to control the whole world and its leaders, putting into their hearts to destroy all religion. Yahshua reveal who will commit fornication with the leaders of the earth, saying: woman that you saw is herself the great city” This is the same city from which the perverted religions of Babylon had its origins – Rome, through the Vatican or the ‘Bishop of Rome’, through Papal authority.

Yahshua revealed how all who do not come out of the snare and the trap of the yoke of Rome, prostituting themselves with her ideologies, will be burnt with fire and be killed, as was prophesied: 6 Repay to her what she herself has paid to others and double her doomin accordance with what she has done. Mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed for others . [Ps. 137:8.] 7 To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness, living deliciously and luxuriously , to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as a queen [on a throne] I sit , and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow - [Isa. 47:8, 9.] 8 So shall her plagues, afflictions, calamities come thick upon her in a single day, pestilence and anguish and sorrow and famine ; and she shall be utterly consumed (burned up with fire), for mighty is the Lord God Who judges her. 9 And the rulers and leaders of the earth who joined her in her immorality (idolatry) and luxuriated with her will weep and beat their breasts and lament over her when they see the smoke of her conflagration. Symbolism in the French Revolution

The French Revolution was a time of upheaval, especially towards traditional ideology, in almost every sense: the current monarch, King Louis XVI, was executed; the Catholic Church was all but abolished; a new calendar was created; and a new Republican government was established. In order to effectively illustrate the differences between the new Republic and the old regime, the leaders needed to implement a new set of symbols to be celebrated instead of the old religious and monarchical symbolism. To this end, symbols were borrowed from historic cultures and redefined, while those of the old regime were either destroyed or reattributed acceptable characteristics. These revised symbols were used to instill in the public a new sense of tradition and reverence for the Enlightenment and the Republic. [100]

Both being to be enlightened or be ‘above the normal people’ in every way: Financially, intellectually and spiritually. Freemasonry is only a lower subdivision of the higher ranks of the Illuminati. The climbing of the ladder to the top, in Freemasonry, is only to brainwash and prepare its subjects to fully be subjected to all the demands to the, ancient cults of ‘Reason’ and the ‘Supreme Being.’

The guillotine as a symbol

The guillotine became the symbol of a string of executions. Louis XVI had already been guillotined before the start of the terror; Queen Marie Antoinette, Barnave, Bailly, Brissot and other leading Girondins, Philippe Égalité (despite his vote for the death of the King), Madame Roland and many others were executed by guillotine. The Revolutionary Tribunal summarily condemned thousands of people to death by the guillotine, while mobs beat other victims to death.

At the peak of the terror, the slightest hint of counter-revolutionary thoughts or activities (or, as in the case of Jacques Hébert, revolutionary zeal exceeding that of those in power) could place one under suspicion, and trials did not always proceed according to contemporary standards of due process. Sometimes people died for their political opinions or actions, but many for little reason beyond mere suspicion, or because some others had a stake in getting rid of them. Most of the victims received an unceremonious trip to the guillotine in an open wooden cart (the tumbrel). In the rebellious provinces, the government representatives had unlimited authority and some engaged in extreme repressions and abuses. For example, Jean-Baptiste Carrier became notorious for the Noyades ("drownings") he organized in Nantes; [86] his conduct was judged unacceptable even by the Jacobin government and he was recalled. [87]

Another anti-clerical uprising was made possible by the installment of the Republican Calendar on 24 October 1793. Against Robespierre's concepts of Deism and Virtue, Hébert's (and Chaumette's) atheist movement initiated a religious campaign to dechristianize society. The climax was reached with the celebration of the flame of Reason in Notre Dame Cathedral on 10 November. [88]

The Reign of Terror ultimately weakened the revolutionary government, while temporarily ending internal opposition. The Jacobins expanded the size of the army, and Carnot replaced many aristocratic officers with soldiers who had demonstrated their patriotism, if not their ability. The Republican army was able to throw back the Austrians, Prussians, British, and Spanish. At the end of 1793, the army began to prevail and revolts were defeated with ease. The Ventôse Decrees (February–March 1794) proposed the confiscation of the goods of exiles and opponents of the Revolution, and their redistribution to the needy. However this policy was never fully implemented. [89]

In the spring of 1794, both extremist enragés such as Hébert and moderate Montagnardindulgents such as Danton were charged with counter-revolutionary activities, tried and guillotined. On 7 June Robespierre, who had previously condemned the Cult of Reason, advocated a new state religion and recommended the Convention acknowledge the existence of the "Supreme Being". [90]

During the time of the French Revolution, although the power of the church seemed to partially have been taken away, it only changed shape. The so-called ‘Enlightenment’ or ‘free thinker’ groups of atheists started creating a type of counter-Revolution movement to de-Christianize the people. Under the guise of de-Christianization, all who opposed the state or church was executed and removed, as was needed. Thousands died, and were burnt at the stake or be-headed as heretics, as Yahshua prophesied to the apostle John, saying what would happen, in the last days: 2 She with whom the rulers of the earth have joined in prostitution (idolatry) and with the wine of whose immorality (idolatry) the inhabitants of the earth have become intoxicated . [Jer. 25:15, 16.] 3 And [the angel] bore me away [rapt] in the Spirit into a desert (wilderness), and I saw a woman seated on a scarlet beast that was all covered with blasphemous titles (names), and he had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was robed in purple and scarlet and bedecked with gold, precious stones, and pearls, [and she was] holding in her hand a golden cup full of the accursed offenses and the filth of her lewdness and vice . [Jer. 51:7.] 5 And on her forehead there was inscribed a name of mystery [with a secret symbolic meaning]: Babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes (idolatresses) and of the filth and atrocities and abominations of the earth . 6 I also saw that the woman was drunk, [drunk] with the blood of the saints (God's people) and the blood of the martyrs [who witnessed] for Jesus. And when I saw her, I was utterly amazed and wondered greatly. (Rev 17:2-6 Ampl) Yahshua revealed the terrible atrocities, which the Roman Catholic Church would commit in the name of religion. Yahshua also prophetically revealed to John how thousands of saints, who refused to compromise their faith in Jesus or Yahshua, were beheaded for their faith, dying as martyrs, in the French Revolution. Yahshua prophetically came to encourage His people to remain faithful even unto death; how they would be rewarded, at the first resurrection, as was prophesied: “Also I saw the souls of those who had been slain with axes beheaded for their witnessing to Jesus and for preaching and testifying for the Word of God, and who had refused to pay homage to the beast or his statue and had not accepted his mark or permitted it to be stamped on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived again and ruled with Christ, the Messiah, a thousand years. [Dan. 7:9, 22, 27.] 5 The remainder of the dead were not restored to life again until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection . 6 Blessed, happy, to be envied and holy, spiritually whole, of unimpaired innocence and proved virtue is the person who takes part and shares in the first resurrection! Over them the second death exerts no power or authority, but they shall be ministers of God and of Christ, the Messiah, and they shall rule along with Him a thousand years . (Rev 20:4-6 Ampl)

The First French Empire

The First French Empire[1], also known as the Greater French Empire or Napoleonic Empire, was the empire of Napoleon I of France. It was the dominant power of much of continental Europe at the beginning of the 19th century.

Napoleon became Emperor of the French (L'Empereur des Français, pronounced: [lɑ̃.pʁœʁ dɛ fʁɑ̃.sɛ]) on 18 May 1804 and crowned Emperor on 2 December 1804, ending the period of the French Consulate, and won early military victories in the War of the Third Coalition against Austria, Prussia, Russia, Portugal, and allied nations, notably at the Battle of Austerlitz (1805) and the Battle of Friedland (1807). The Treaty of Tilsit in July 1807 ended two years of bloodshed on the European continent.

The subsequent series of wars known collectively as the Napoleonic Wars extended French influence over much of Western Europe and into Poland. At its height in 1812, the French Empire had 130 départements, ruled over 44 million subjects, maintained an extensive military presence in Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Duchy of Warsaw, and could count Prussia and Austria as nominal allies. [6] Early French victories exported many ideological features of the French Revolution throughout Europe. Seigneurial dues and seigneurial justice were abolished, aristocratic privileges were eliminated in all places except Poland, and the introduction of the Napoleonic Code throughout the continent increased legal equality, established jury systems, and legalized divorce. [7] However Napoleon also placed relatives on the thrones of several European countries and granted many noble titles, most of which were not recognized after the empire fell.

Historians have estimated the death toll from the Napoleonic Wars to be 6.5 million people, or 15% of the French Empire's subjects. In particular, French losses in the Peninsular War in Spain severely weakened the Empire; after victory over the Austrian Empire in the War of the Fifth Coalition (1809) Napoleon deployed over 600,000 troops to attack Russia, [8] in a catastrophic French invasion of the empire in 1812. The War of the Sixth Coalition saw the expulsion of French forces from Germany in 1813.

Napoleon abdicated in 11 April 1814. The Empire was briefly restored during the Hundred Days period in 1815 until Napoleon's defeat at the Battle of Waterloo. It was followed by the restored monarchy of the House of Bourbon.

2300 Years - Artaxerxes to Napoleon Bonaparte Napoleon Bonaparte was crowned king by the Roman Catholic Pope, directly pointing to the joint “... proof of their interdependence...” as a wise historian pointed out. Only Yahshua, in his wisdom, knew that these two forces, the Roman Catholic Church and the French Empire of the state, were working together, in its attempt to destroy the true saints, who witnessed the undefiled word to the people, refusing to take the mark of the beast, or recognizing the authority of the Roman Catholic Church, bowing to its demands to compromise and renounce their faith. John saw a desert period, through which, the true followers of Yahshua would have to go, which included the time of the French Revolution.

Through the ‘times and seasons’ of Yahshua, He prophetically revealed how His people would have to endure through a very specific time period, coming to the end of a prophetic 2300 years of tribulation for His people. Some of those from the late 1700’s who were beheaded will be resurrected on the last day, when the dead in Christ will rise to rule and reign with Yahshua a 1000 years. Therefore, even the French Revolution was a terrible tribulation, which partially ended with the fall of the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte as the Emperor of France, ending the First French Empire.

The year 1814 was year that Napoleon Bonaparte had his first defeat against Russia. From this time on the power of Napoleon was weakened and until he finally came to a fall in 1814. Thus, prophetically, YHWH referred to a prophetic time period of 2300 years, which would last from the time Israel came out of captivity, until they came out from under the terrible reign of the Jacobin club, under the Emperor of France – Napoleon Bonaparte in 1814.

2300 Prophetic Years – Alexander the Great to Adolf Hitler

By the wisdom and ability, which Yahshua gives, He led me to find another awesome prophetic time period of tribulation, which also lasted 2300 prophetic years:

From the time the Jews went into captivity, until they came of out from captivity, they were under different kings and their kingdoms, as was recorded in history: The Babylonian Empire fell to the conquests of Cyrus the Great in 539 BCE. [12] Judea remained under Persian rule until the conquest of Alexander the Great in 332 BCE, eventually falling under the rule of the HellenisticSeleucid Empire until the revolt of Judas Maccabeus resulted in the Hasmonean dynasty of Kings who ruled in Judea for over a century. [13]

Firstly, Judah and Jerusalem were conquered by the Babylonians and destroyed Solomon's Temple. After 50 years of Babylonian captivity (606–538 BC), the Persian King, Cyrus the Great (558-330 BC), invited the Jews to return to Judah to rebuild the Temple (538 BC). Construction of the Second Temple was completed 15 years later (516 BC) , during the reign of Darius the Great (522-486 BC), 70 years after the destruction of the First Temple.

When the Greek, Macedonian ruler, Alexander the Great (332 BC), conquered the Persian Empire, Jerusalem and Judea fell under Macedonian control, eventually falling to the Ptolemaic dynasty under Ptolemy I. In 198 BCE, Ptolemy V lost Jerusalem and Judea to the Seleucids under Antiochus III. The Second Temple suffered desecration by Antiochus Epiphanes in 167 BCE, but was rededicated under Judas Maccabaeus in 164 BCE.

After the Jews returned to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, it was not long before they sinned against YHWH again, not keeping His commands. YHWH revealed to the prophet Daniel, how through history the Jewish people will be trampled and oppressed by different kingdoms, until their sins have been paid.

The Jewish people were to be in captivity, while kingdoms come and go, just as Daniel interpreted the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, seeing how the Babylonian Empire will be overthrown by the Medo-Persian Empire; they intern will be overthrown by the mighty Empire of the Greeks, under Alexander the Great. Alexander’s kingdom would be divided into four parts, over the next 150 years and would finally be broken by the iron Empire of Rome:

Alexander III of Macedon, popularly known as Alexander the Great; (356–323 BC), was a Greek king (basileus) of Macedon who created one of the largest empires in ancient history. He is one of the most famous figures of antiquity, remembered for his tactical ability, his conquests, and for spreading Greek civilization to the East.

Alexander received a classical Greek education, under the tutorship of Aristotle. At the age of 20, he succeeded his father, Philip II of Macedon, to the throne. He inherited a strong kingdom and an experienced army, with most of the city-states of mainland Greece under Macedonianhegemony. After establishing his authority as the political and military leader of Greece, he launched the plans for expansion left by his father.

Alexander invaded Persian-ruled Asia Minor, and began a series of campaigns that lasted 10 years. He repeatedly defeated the Persians in battle, and marched through Syria, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia, and Bactria. He overthrew the Persian king Darius III and conquered the Persian Empire. ii[›] Following his desire to reach the "ends of the world and the Great Outer Sea", he invaded India, but was eventually forced to turn back by the near-mutiny of his troops, who had tired of war.

Alexander died in Babylon, aged 32, before realizing his plans for further campaigns. His empire was torn apart in a series of civil wars, which resulted in the formation of a number of states ruled by Macedonian aristocracy (the Diadochi).

King of Macedon

In 336 BC, whilst at Aegae, attending the wedding of his daughter by Olympias, Cleopatra to Olympias's brother, Alexander I of Epirus, Philip was assassinated by the captain of his bodyguard, Pausanias. v[›] As Pausanias tried to escape he tripped over a vine and was killed by his pursuers, including two of Alexander's companions, Perdiccas and Leonnatus. Alexander was proclaimed king by the Macedonian army and by the Macedonian noblemen at the age of 20. [41] [42] [43]

Syria

After spending the winter campaigning in Asia Minor, Alexander's army crossed the Cilician Gates in 333 BC, and defeated the main Persian army under the command of Darius III at the Battle of Issus in November. [68] Darius was forced to flee the battle after his army broke, and in doing so left behind his wife, his two daughters, his mother Sisygambis, and a fabulous amount of treasure. [69] He afterwards offered a peace treaty to Alexander, the concession of the lands he had already conquered, and a ransom of 10,000 talents for his family. Alexander replied that since he was now king of Asia, it was he alone who decided territorial divisions. [70]

Alexander proceeded to take possession of Syria, and most of the coast of the Levant. [71] However, the following year, 332 BC, he was forced to attack Tyre, which he eventually captured after a famous siege. [72] [73] After the capture of Tyre, Alexander crucified all the men of military age, and sold the women and children into slavery. [74]

Egypt

When Alexander destroyed Tyre, most of the towns on the route to Egypt quickly capitulated, with the exception of Gaza. The stronghold at Gaza was built on a hill and was heavily fortified. [75]At the beginning of the Siege of Gaza, Alexander utilized the engines he had employed against Tyre. After three unsuccessful assaults, the stronghold was finally taken by force, but not before Alexander received a serious shoulder wound. When Gaza was taken, the male population was put to the sword and the women and children were sold into slavery. [76]

Jerusalem, on the other hand, opened its gates in surrender, and according to Josephus, Alexander was shown the book of Daniel's prophecy, presumably chapter 8, where a mighty Greek king would subdue and conquer the Persian Empire. Thereupon, Alexander spared Jerusalem and pushed south into Egypt. [77] [78]

Alexander advanced on Egypt in late 332 BC, where he was regarded as a liberator. [79] He was pronounced the new "master of the Universe" and son of the deity of Amun at the Oracle of Siwa Oasis in the Libyan desert. [80] Henceforth, Alexander often referred to Zeus-Ammon as his true father, and subsequent currency depicted him adorned with ram horns as a symbol of his divinity. During his stay in Egypt, he founded Alexandria-by-Egypt, which would become the prosperous capital of the Ptolemaic kingdom after his death. [81]

Alexander had no obvious or legitimate heir, his son Alexander IV by Roxane being born after Alexander's death. This left the huge question mark as to who would rule the newly conquered, and barely pacified Empire. [125] According to Diodorus, Alexander's companions asked him when he was on his deathbed to whom he bequeathed his kingdom; his laconic reply was "tôi kratistôi"—"to the strongest". [105] Given that Arrian and Plutarch have Alexander speechless by this point, it is possible that this is an apocryphal story. [126] Diodorus, Curtius and Justin also have the more plausible story of Alexander passing his signet ring to Perdiccas, one of his bodyguard and leader of the companion cavalry, in front of witnesses, thereby possibly nominating Perdiccas as his successor. [105] [125]

In the event, Perdiccas initially avoided explicitly claiming power, instead suggesting that Roxane's baby would be king, if male; with himself, Craterus, Leonnatus and Antipater as guardians. [127] However, the infantry, under the command of Meleager, rejected this arrangement since they had been excluded from the discussion. Instead, they supported Alexander's half-brother Philip Arrhidaeus. [127] Eventually, the two sides reconciled, and after the birth of Alexander IV, he and Philip III were appointed joint kings of the Empire—albeit in name only. [127]

It was not long, however, before dissension and rivalry began to afflict the Macedonians. The satrapies handed out by Perdiccas at the Partition of Babylon became power bases for each general, from which to launch his own bid for power. [128] After the assassination of Perdiccas in 321 BC, all semblance of Macedonian unity collapsed, and 40 years of war between 'The Successors' (Diadochi) ensued, before the Hellenistic world settled into four stable power blocks: the Ptolemaic kingdom of Egypt, the Seleucid Empire in the east, the kingdom of Pergamon in Asia minor, and Macedon. [128] In the process both Alexander IV and Philip III were murdered. [128]

YHWH prophetically revealed the future of the Greek Empire to the prophet Daniel, saying: 6 After this I looked, and behold, another, the Grecian empire of Alexander the Great, like a leopard, which had four wings of a bird on its back. The beast had also four heads, Alexander's generals, his successors, and dominion was given to it. [Dan. 2:39; 8:20-22.]( Dan 7:6 Ampl ) YHWH revealed great detail about the coming conqueror of the Medo-Persian Empire, who would be the future successor of the Greek Empire, as was prophesied: 5 As I was considering, behold, a he-goat, the king of Greece, came from the west across the face of the whole earth without touching the ground, and the goat had a conspicuous and remarkable horn between his eyes, symbolizing Alexander the Great. [Dan. 8:21.] 6 And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I had seen standing on the bank of the river and ran at him in the heat of his power. (Dan 8:5-6 Ampl) YHWH revealed how Alexander the Great would trample the Medo-Persian Empire, crushing it to the ground. YHWH also revealed to the prophet Daniel, that Alexander the Great would be broken, while he is still young and strong and then his kingdom would be divided into 4 different kingdoms or areas, as was prophesied: 8 And the he-goat, Alexander the Great, magnified himself exceedingly, and when he was young and strong, the great horn, he was suddenly broken; and instead of him there came up four notable hornsto whom the kingdom was divided, one toward each of the four winds of the heavens.(Dan 8:8 Ampl) Later, after Daniel had interceded for the interpretation of all the prophetic revelation, YHWH also revealed that Alexander the Great’s reign will not be ended by a war, but by no human hand, as was prophesied : 3 Then a mighty warlike, threatening king shall arise who shall rule with great dominion and do according to his own will. 4 And as soon as he has fully arisen, his, Alexander the Great's kingdom shall be broken by his death and divided toward the four winds [the east, west, north, and south] of the heavens, but not to his posterity, nor according to the Grecian dominion, which he ruled, for his kingdom shall be torn out and uprooted and go to others [to his four generals] to the exclusion of these. (Dan 11:3-4 Ampl) This is an awesome prophecy, if we keep in mind that Daniel received this word from YHWH, about 174 years before Alexander the Great started his reign.

When we count from the time of the conquest of Alexander the Great in 332 BC, when Judea passed from Persian rule to the Greek Empire, under Alexander the Great, counting 2300 prophetic years ( 2267 years), we arrive at the date of around 1935 AD. What happened in 1935?

Looking down through the history of Israel, we can see how they were constantly under the rule of one or the other kingdom. Between the time of the Israelite kingdoms and the 7th-century Muslim conquests, the Land of Israel fell under Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Sassanian, and Byzantine rule. [30] When we consider a brief summery from 632 AD until the Jewish state of Israel, we see how they were in different trials and tribulations, of oppression and anti-Semitism, from both political systems and religious systems, even being treated like animals, by so-called Christian organisations. For the greatest part between 632 – 1948 AD, Israel was under Muslim control.

After the Persian conquest and the installation of a short-lived Jewish Commonwealth in 614 CE, the Byzantine Empire reinstalled its rule in 625 CE, resulting in further decline and destruction.

Muslim rule

In 635 CE, the region, including Jerusalem, was conquered by the Arabs and was to remain under Muslim control for the next 1300 years. [43] Control of the region transferred between the Umayyads, [43]Abbasids, [43] and Crusaders throughout the next six centuries, [43] before being conquered by the Mamluk Sultanate, in 1260. [44] In 1516, the region was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, and remained under Turkish rule until the end of the First World War when Britain defeated the Ottoman forces and set up a military administration across the former Ottoman Syria. The territory was divided under the mandate system and the area which included modern day Israel named Mandatory Palestine. [44] [45] [46]

Zionism and the British mandate

Since the Diaspora, some Jews have aspired to return to "Zion" and the "Land of Israel", [47] though the amount of effort that should be spent towards such an aim was a matter of dispute. [48] [49] The hopes and yearnings of Jews living in exile were articulated in the Hebrew Bible, [50] and are an important theme of the Jewish belief system. [48] After the Jews were expelled from Spain in 1492, some communities settled in Palestine. [51] During the 16th century, Jewish communities struck roots in the Four Holy CitiesJerusalem, Tiberias, Hebron, and Safed—and in 1697, Rabbi Yehuda Hachasid led a group of 1,500 Jews to Jerusalem. [52] In the second half of the 18th century, Eastern European opponents of Hasidism, known as the Perushim, settled in Palestine. [53] [54] [55]

The first wave of modern Jewish migration to Ottoman-ruled Palestine, known as the First Aliyah, began in 1881, as Jews fled pogroms in Eastern Europe. [56] Although the Zionist movement already existed in practice, Austro-Hungarian journalist Theodor Herzl is credited with founding political Zionism, [57] a movement which sought to establish a Jewish state in the Land of Israel, by elevating the Jewish Question to the international plane. [58] In 1896, Herzl published Der Judenstaat (The State of the Jews), offering his vision of a future Jewish state; the following year he presided over the first World Zionist Congress. [59]

The Second Aliyah (1904–14), began after the Kishinev pogrom; some 40,000 Jews settled in Palestine, although nearly half of them left at a later point in time. [56] Both the first and second waves of migrants were mainly Orthodox Jews, [60] although the Second Aliyah included socialist groups who established the kibbutz movement. [61] During World War I, British Foreign SecretaryArthur Balfour sent a letter that stated: [62]

His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country." [63]

The Jewish Legion, a group primarily of Zionist volunteers, assisted in the British conquest of Palestine in 1917. Arab opposition to British rule and Jewish immigration led to the 1920 Palestine riots and the formation of a Jewish militia known as the Haganah (meaning "The Defense" in Hebrew), from which the Irgun and Lehi, or Stern Gang, paramilitary groups later split off. [64] In 1922, the League of Nations granted Britain a mandate over Palestine under terms similar to the Balfour Declaration. [65] The population of the area at this time was predominantly Arab and Muslim, with Jews accounting for about 11%. [66]

The Third (1919–1923) and Fourth Aliyahs (1924–1929) brought an additional 100,000 Jews to Palestine. [56] Finally, the rise of Nazism and the increasing persecution of Jews in the 1930s led to the Fifth Aliyah, with an influx of a quarter of a million Jews. This was a major cause of the Arab revolt of 1936–1939 and led the British to introduce restrictions on Jewish immigration to Palestine with the White Paper of 1939. With countries around the world turning away Jewish refugees fleeing the Holocaust, a clandestine movement known as Aliyah Bet was organized to bring Jews to Palestine. [56] By the end of World War II, the Jewish population of Palestine had increased to 33% of the total population. [67]

Between 1881 and 1930 more than 390 thousand Jews returned to Israel, just a YHWH had promised them by the mouth of the prophet Jeremiah, saying: 12 And because you have done worse than your fathers. For behold, every one of you walks after the stubbornness of his own evil heart, so that you do not listen to and obey Me. 13 Therefore I will cast you out of this land [ of Judah ] into the land [ of the Babylonians ] neither you nor your fathers have known , and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor there. 14 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when it shall no more be said, As the Lord lives, Who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, 15 But, As the Lord lives, Who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries to which He had driven them . And I will bring them again to their land which I gave to their fathers. 16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, says the Lord, and they will fish them out ; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and out of the clefts of the rocks . 17 For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, neither is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. 18 First [before I bring them back to their land] I will doubly recompense and punish them for their iniquity and their sin, because they have polluted My land with the carcasses of their detestable idols and with the abominable things offered to false gods with which they have filled My inheritance. (Jer 16:12-18 Ampl) YHWH revealed to the prophet that He will punish them double for their sins and afterwards would cause them through fishers and hunters to return to Israel, just as had happened since their return to Israel. The Jews were forced to return to their home land, because they were cast out by the foreign nations, where they were scattered.

Just after 1930, a king or ruler arose, to partially fulfilled the word of YHWH to Daniel, saying: 9 Out of littleness and small beginnings one of them came forth a horn whose impious presumption and pride grew exceedingly great toward the south and toward the east and toward the ornament, the precious, blessed land of Israel. [Dan. 8:23.] (Dan 8:8 Ampl) Although this king did not stop the sacrifices he did try to stop the Jews from keeping to their traditions and trampled the Jews to the ground, through the Holocaust, as was prophesied: “ ...the chosen people, was given to the wicked horn...” “....because of the transgression of God's people - their abounding irreverence, ungodliness, and lack of piety. And righteousness and truth were cast down to the ground, and it, the wicked horn, accomplished this by divine permission and prospered....” “...and the giving over...” “...the host of the people to be trampled underfoot...” (Dan 12:13 Ampl)

Adolf Hitler (1933 – 1945 AD)

Adolf Hitler; 20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was an Austrian -born German politician and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party ( NSDAP), commonly known as the Nazi Party. He was Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945, and served as head of state as Führer und Reichskanzler from 1934 to 1945. Hitler is most remembered for his central leadership role in the rise of fascism in Europe, World War II and The Holocaust .

A decorated veteran of World War I , Hitler joined the precursor of the Nazi Party ( DAP ) in 1919, and became leader of NSDAP in 1921. He attempted a failed coup d'état known as the Beer Hall Putsch , which occurred at the Bürgerbräukeller beer hall in Munich on November 8–9, 1923. Hitler was imprisoned for one year due to the failed coup, and wrote his memoir, "My Struggle" (in German Mein Kampf ), while imprisoned. After his release on December 20, 1924, he gained support by promoting Pan-Germanism , antisemitism , anti-capitalism , and anti-communism with charismatic oratory and propaganda . He was appointed chancellor on January 30, 1933, and transformed the Weimar Republic into the Third Reich , a single-party dictatorship based on the totalitarian and autocratic ideology of Nazism .

Hitler ultimately wanted to establish a New Order of absolute Nazi German hegemony in continental Europe. To achieve this, he pursued a foreign policy with the declared goal of seizing Lebensraum ("living space") for the Aryan people ; directing the resources of the state towards this goal. This included the rearmament of Germany, which culminated in 1939 when the Wehrmacht invaded Poland . In response, the United Kingdom and France declared war against Germany, leading to the outbreak of World War II in Europe . [2]

Within three years, German forces and their European allies had occupied most of Europe, and most of North Africa , and the Japanese forces had occupied parts of East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific Ocean. However, with the reversal of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union , the Allies gained the upper hand from 1942 onwards. By 1944, Allied armies had invaded German-held Europe from all sides.

Nazi forces engaged in numerous violent acts during the war, including the systematic murder of as many as 17 million civilians, [3] including an estimated six million Jews targeted in the Holocaust and between 500,000 and 1,500,000 Roma , [4] added to the Poles, Soviet civilians, Soviet prisoners of war, people with disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses , and other political and religious opponents .

Although a secret German armaments programme had been on-going since 1919, in March 1935, Hitler rejected Part V of the Versailles treaty by publicly announcing that the German army would be expanded to 600,000 men (six times the number stipulated in the Treaty of Versailles), introducing an Air Force ( Luftwaffe ) and increasing the size of the Navy (Kriegsmarine). Britain, France, Italy and the League of Nations quickly condemned these actions. However, after re-assurances from Hitler that Germany was only interested in peace, no country took any action to stop this development and German re-armament continued. Later in March 1935, Hitler held a series of meetings in Berlin with the British Foreign Secretary Sir John Simon and Eden, during which he successfully evaded British offers for German participation in a regional security pact meant to serve as an Eastern European equivalent of the Locarno pact while the two British ministers avoided taking up Hitler's offers of alliance. [104] During his talks with Simon and Eden, Hitler first used what he regarded as the brilliant colonial negotiating tactic, when Hitler parlayed an offer from Simon to return to the League of Nations by demanding the return of the former German colonies in Africa. [105]

Starting in April 1935 , disenchantment with how the Third Reich had developed in practice as opposed to what been promised led many in the Nazi Party, especially the Alte Kämpfer (Old Fighters; i.e., those who joined the Party before 1930, and who tended to be the most ardent antisemitics in the Party), and the SA into lashing out against Germany's Jewish minority as a way of expressing their frustrations against a group that the authorities would not generally protect. [106] The rank and file of the Party were most unhappy that two years into the Third Reich, and despite countless promises by Hitler prior to 1933, no law had been passed banning marriage or sex between those Germans belonging to the "Aryan" and Jewish "races". A Gestapo report from the spring of 1935 stated that the rank and file of the Nazi Party would " set in motion by us from below," a solution to the "Jewish problem," "that the government would then have to follow." [107] As a result, Nazi Party activists and the SA started a major wave of assaults, vandalism and boycotts against German Jews. [108]

On 18 June 1935, the Anglo-German Naval Agreement (AGNA) was signed in London which allowed for increasing the allowed German tonnage up to 35% of that of the British navy. Hitler called the signing of the AGNA "the happiest day of his life" as he believed the agreement marked the beginning of the Anglo-German alliance he had predicted in Mein Kampf. [109] This agreement was made without consulting either France or Italy, directly undermining the League of Nations and put the Treaty of Versailles on the path towards irrelevance. [110] After the signing of the A.G.N.A., in June 1935 Hitler ordered the next step in the creation of an Anglo-German alliance: taking all the societies demanding the restoration of the former German African colonies and coordinating (Gleichschaltung) them into a new Reich Colonial League (Reichskolonialbund) which over the next few years waged an extremely aggressive propaganda campaign for colonial restoration. [111] Hitler had no real interest in the former German African colonies. In Mein Kampf, Hitler had excoriated the Imperial German government for pursuing colonial expansion in Africa prior to 1914 on the grounds that the natural area for Lebensraum was Eastern Europe, not Africa. [112] It was Hitler's intention to use colonial demands as a negotiating tactic that would see a German "renunciation" of colonial claims in exchange for Britain making an alliance with the Reich on German terms. [113]

In the summer of 1935, Hitler was informed that, between inflation and the need to use foreign exchange to buy raw materials Germany lacked for rearmament, there were only 5 million Reichmarks available for military expenditure, and a pressing need for some 300,000 Reichmarks/day to prevent food shortages. [114] In August 1935, Dr. Hjalmar Schacht advised Hitler that the wave of antisemitic violence was interfering with the workings of the economy, and hence rearmament. [115] Following Dr. Schacht's complaints, plus reports that the German public did not approve of the wave of antisemitic violence, and that continuing police toleration of the violence was hurting the regime's popularity with the wider public, Hitler ordered a stop to "individual actions" against German Jews on 8 August 1935. [115] From Hitler's perspective, it was imperative to bring in harsh new antisemitic laws as a consolation prize for those Party members who were disappointed with Hitler's halt order of 8 August, especially because Hitler had only reluctantly given the halt order for pragmatic reasons, and his sympathies were with the Party radicals. [115] The annual Nazi Party Rally held at Nuremberg in September 1935 was to feature the first session of the Reichstag held at that city since 1543. Hitler had planned to have the Reichstag pass a law making the Nazi Swastika flag the flag of the German Reich, and a major speech in support of the impending Italian aggression against Ethiopia . [116] Hitler felt that the Italian aggression opened great opportunities for Germany. In August 1935, Hitler told Goebbels his foreign policy vision as: "With England eternal alliance. Good relationship with Poland . . . Expansion to the East. The Baltic belongs to us . . . Conflicts Italy-Abyssinia-England, then Japan-Russia imminent." [117]

At the last minute before the Nuremberg Party Rally was due to begin, the German Foreign Minister Baron Konstantin von Neurath persuaded Hitler to cancel his speech praising Italy for her willingness to commit aggression. Neurath convinced Hitler that his speech was too provocative to public opinion abroad as it contradicted the message of Hitler's "peace speeches", thus leaving Hitler with the sudden need to have something else to address the Reichstag in Nuremberg, other than the Reich Flag Law. [118] On 13 September 1935 , Hitler hurriedly ordered two civil servants, Dr. Bernhard Lösener and Franz Albrecht Medicus of the Interior Ministry to fly to Nuremberg to start drafting antisemitic laws for Hitler to present to the Reichstag for 15 September. [116] On the evening of 15 September, Hitler presented two laws before the Reichstagbanning sex and marriage between Aryan and Jewish Germans, the employment of Aryan women under the age of 45 in Jewish households, and deprived "non-Aryans" of the benefits of German citizenship. [119] The laws of September 1935 are generally known as the Nuremberg Laws .

When Satan saw how the Jewish nation started to slowly return over a period of less than 40 years, he raised up his agent to destroy the Jewish nation. The arrogant and cocky attitude of Hitler caused him to rise to power, until he became an absolute dictator. Hitler rose from being a war hero, to politician, in a miraculously fast passé. The year 1935, was the year, when Adolf Hitler, being the German Chancellor, used his power and authority to begin a major eradication of the Jews. From this time there was a drastic increase in anti- 2300 Prophetic Years - Alexander the Great to Adolf Hitler Semitism. The whole of Germany and all of the nations round about allowed Hitler to rise to dictatorship, fearing, just as was prophesied: 4 They fell down and paid homage to the dragon, because he had bestowed on the beast all his dominion and authority; they also praised and worshiped the beast, exclaiming, Who is a match for the beast , and, Who can make war against him? 5 And the beast was given the power of speech , uttering boastful and blasphemous words , and he was given freedom to exert his authority and to exercise his will during forty-two months (three and a half years). Thus, 2300 prophetic years (2267 years) pasted from the time when the tribe of Judah were started to be ruled by Alexander the Great (322 BC), until they were finally trampled by Hitler, starting in 1935 AD, under the Germany third Reich or kingdom.
